Welcome to “Humans of Nairobi,” also known as Storyzanai, a new initiative by Baraza Media Lab dedicated to sharing the unique and often underrepresented stories of the vibrant city we call home. This platform is a tribute to the incredible individuals who enrich our lives through their services, contributions, and resilience, especially in areas where government support has fallen short.
Nairobi is a city of resilience, hustle, and hidden gems. Over the next few weeks, we are embarking on a journey to capture the diverse faces and stories that bring Nairobi to life. Through this series, you will meet the extraordinary people who make Nairobi what it is—from dedicated midwives in Kibera to inspiring orchestras in Korogocho, and many more.
Through “Humans of Nairobi,” we hope to deepen understanding and appreciation of the diverse experiences that shape our city. Our goal is to create a space where voices that often go unheard can share their journeys, challenges, and triumphs, providing a richer, more nuanced view of life in Nairobi.
