Why Nairobi - Industrial Area?
Industrial Area holds a long habit of making. We envision this hub as a maker’s lab that lives by Industrial Area’s ethic of steady hands and patient iteration. Work moves from table read to rehearsal to cut to a small showing in one place so teams can easily create, experiment and refine. The rooms welcome edits, shoots, listening sessions and workshops. We set it close to where many people earn and learn so daily practice fits real schedules and simple workflows. Opening the doors as we marked five years of Baraza set the tone for the next chapter: a lab for makers, in a community of makers, connected to peers, editors and commissioners across our network.
